COVERED. CALLED. EQUIPPED.
About Me
I’m The Watchful Daughter - mom of three amazing kids, wife to the hardest-working, most supportive man I know, and above all, a daughter of God. Here’s the kicker: until this past year, at almost 40, I was drifting in lukewarm faith, and I didn’t even know it. I figured saying grace, flipping open a Bible now and then, and showing up to church most Sundays meant I was covered. Spoiler: I was fooling myself.
Then the Holy Spirit hit me like a cold splash of water. Suddenly everything felt higher stakes — like I’d been sleepwalking with a candle in a windstorm. Life got darker and harder than I’d let myself admit, but that very darkness also became the backdrop for the most vivid, urgent rescue I’ve ever known. The light that found me wasn’t gentle or subtle; it demanded everything. Not in a mean way — more like a truth that refuses to be ignored.
I’m sharing this because I believe someone out there needs the wake-up call I got. You can be a “good” Christian and still be numb, distracted, half-asleep. The invitation I received is radical: give up your comfy compromises, hand over your control, and trust that the light will carry you through. It’s terrifying. It’s thrilling. And it’s everything.
This is a space of honesty, faith, and testimony—where I choose to be deeply vulnerable about the battles my family has faced. This past year brought struggles that many don’t talk about, some of the lowest lows I have ever endured. One of the hardest moments was hearing my 10-year-old son say he wanted to take his life—a pain no parent is ever prepared for. Yet even in the darkness, I have come to believe more than ever that every chapter of our lives is intricately written by God’s hand.
This blog is a living testimony of His presence, His protection, and His unwavering guidance in my daily walk. My journey is not just about sharing hard stories, but about revealing the miraculous ways God delivers, strengthens, and carries us through His infinite grace. I pray that as you read, you will be reminded of His goodness, find hope in the midst of your own battles, and feel encouraged to stand firm in faith—fully armored and ready for whatever lies ahead.
